Unlike the real Boracay which is highly popular, well developed and explored, Cavite's Boracay is not even known to some of Caviteneos, sad to say, the place is more known as the "marine camp", the only marine training ground in the whole country, the same place where the "Balikatan" (Filipino and US Marines joint training) is being held from time to time.
No public transportation is available, you will need private vehicle to reach the place. But travel will be pleasant, you will be entertained by the beautiful sceneries as you move along in the smooth asphalt road in the midst of the thick rainforest..... cool breeze.... monkeys by the road... singing of different bird species... distinct sound of an insect especially in the afternoon.... exhilarating experience of a magnetic field slowing down your vehicle.
From Metro Manila to Trece Martires City using ordinary bus fare would be about P55 (over US$1) per person. From there, you may hire a Van for about P2,500 ( US$54) for a day in a round trip to the camp and back to Trece Martires City. Hotels nearby are about P1,000 to P3,000 (US$21 to 50) per person per day. If you are in real budget trip just tell me I can offer my hut for about P200 per day, ( that is over US$4) but i'm warning you, there will be a lot of sacrifice to do with this accomodation. but if you like extra challenge, why not?
Boracay of Cavite is just one of the many tourist spots to visit. I would recommend Shrine of Aguinaldo in Kawit, you can enjoy a beautiful resort like IslandCove also in Kawit, Tagaytay the home of smallest Taal volcano in the world, horseback riding is available in many areas of the town, the cable car in Picnic Groove Resort, you can as well taste the famous amadeo coffee, Bulalo, (Boiled Beef/Bone marrows) mushroom burger, authentic bird's nest soup for only P400 (US$9) in Balinsasayaw resto in Silang. But this is not my subject matter as of this time, i'll discuss all of these one at a time.

this place is really a treasure I mean a hidden treasure of cavite, honestly many people did not even know it exist. Thanks for bringing it out to open hopefullyt more and more people will notice the beauty of Cavite.
ReplyDeleteFrom Manila to SM Bacoor is a more convenient and faster way to get to Boracay de Cavite. From SM Bacoor to Boracay de Cavite is a relaxing 1 hour bus tour. I've been to this place before and one of the nicest thing about this place is that is is really secured. From November to March is the best time to visit the place for it is so clean. The place is crowded from April to May and is quite dirty because of litters and jellyfishes. Going to this place is really such a wonderful nature trip!
ReplyDeletei would like to ask if there's really no way to go there by public transport?
ReplyDeleteHello Maika,
ReplyDeleteIm not aware of this tour from SM Bacoor. Hope you can contact Gerry who have the experience of traveling by bus to the place.
Thanks

ReplyDeletei already know the way to sm bacoor.. riding a bus how can i get to boracay de cavite?
ReplyDeleteHi, how do we get there in Boracay de Cavite thru private transpo? Is there a map or something? :)
ReplyDeletei've been drinking bird nest soup every night (i only get the homemade kind back at home). the only reason why i drink it is because it's supposed to be good for complexion.
ReplyDeletei’ve been taking the store-bought kind online (e.g. www.geocities.jp/hongkong_bird_nest/index_e.htm of famous branded only of course) which is directly mailed from Hong Kong. this would be at a more affordable price.
Cavite is a really nice place to visit. I hope I can go there with no hindrances.Cagayan de Oro philippines
ReplyDeletei want to make a reservation here... how??? no contact numbers on the marine corps site...

ReplyDeleteHi! Here's the contact # of Sir Bob Provido, the owner of the resort 09192063146. Tell him that you are referred by JHINA (Makati Gurl) from Kawit, Cavite. Why? Because, Bora de Cavite is not open to the public. You will be prioritized if you have a friend or relatives in Philippine Marines.
ReplyDeletePlease make a reservation 2 weeks before the trip.
"Ask for a discount!!he's kind and approachable"...=)
NOTE:
Bora De Cavite is open 24hrs a day 7 days a week. It is not advisable to come in the evening because; the road going to the resort has no street lights.

ReplyDeleteLet me tell you how me and my boyfriend were able to fix things up in this really unassuming place where we want to spend our honeymoon after we get married this coming June. After almost a month of breaking-up with him because of heartaches and quarrels (Reason? You know the type – some petty little things like I think Sarah Geronimo’s wonderful while he thinks she’s one awful singer), I started looking for a good hotel, resort, what-have-you, just to release the bad thoughts that were swarming around my head during that time. You know, I’m a call center agent in Makati and every night’s like a living hell (not to mention my annoying boss) so I was craving for a quick summer getaway. I then started to look for one on the Internet by visiting websites such as Expedia but then the places that I’ve seen were just-above-the-average type and the rates there were too expensive!
ReplyDeleteBecause of frustration, I posted on my Facebook wall that I am “planning to stay in one of the best resorts in Cavite or hotels somewhere in Laguna even for just one night. But I’m not sure where’s the best hotel to unwind in. After a day or two, my boyfriend messaged me on Skype that he knows one the best resorts in the Philippines to have a good time. I said “Weh?” I ignored him for a couple of days but then he kept on bugging me with his text messages every night. And then he asked me for a dinner in his Lola’s place. Call me crazy but I gave in to his request. You know the picture, girls, when former lovers see each other after quite a while: awkward gestures, meaningful stares, his family members asking you how you are doing and their repetitive blah-blahs that “Mas bagay talaga kayo ni Ralph!” After all the greetings and kumustahan in their ancestral house, an inevitable Bea Alonzo-and-John-Lloyd-Cruz-Come-Back-To-Me scene took place in their kitchen. He said we can patch things up but I only need to give him a second chance. Then he told me that his cousin Jay is working in a resort, restaurant, and hotel in Cavite and that the guy wants to see me.
See, my plan was to completely forget him and just have a good time – alone! But then, I must admit that when I saw him again after I-don’t-remember-how-many-weeks was like having my 18th birthday. He also looked better without having me around. Insecurity slapped me. Curiosity boggled my mind. So I gave in to his request (for the nth time).
When we were already in this very unassuming resort in Cavite I asked Ralph if he’s gonna be staying with me there for the whole night. He said yes. After staying in front of the resort’s Waterfront Pool for quite some time, I was surprised to see how more good-looking my ex-boyfriend has become (aside of course from being more buffed). But what surprised me more is the way he looked at me from afar. I was getting my feet wet while he was staring at me from the deeper part of the pool – his eyes a mixture of yearning and sadness. So I told him that if he really wanna fix things up, he won’t be too demanding and too possessive, that he will let me become more careless and be myself, and that he will teach me how to swim (shame on me!) that very day.
After almost 5 minutes of hesitation from his eyes, a smile broke from his lips.
