Mount Nagpatong

Andress Bonifacio and his brother Procopio were executed at this site. They were suppose to be taken to Mt. Buntis in Maragondon, Cavite, but for unknown reasons, they were killed instead in Mt. Nagpatong, also in Maragondon where this marker was built. At present, the government established a beautiful Park in honor of Bonifacio.



Some locals told us that maybe after reaching Mt. Nagpatong, Aguinaldo's men got exhausted, so right there and then executed the two instead of bringing them further to Mt Buntis.

Trece Martires City at night

The Picture was taken September 2010 at around 8:30 in the evening. I was about to attend a meeting held in the third story of a building when I spotted this beautiful scenery. I did not waste a time capturing the scene with my Nikon D40. The outcome may not be perfect in the eyes of a professional photographer, but nobody can deny the beauty of the nature seeing it in one's naked eye.

Lyceum University-Cavite Campus

About two years ago, Lyceum of the Philippines University opened a new branch in General Trias, Cavite, According to LPU, The Cavite campus was dubbed as the country's first and only Resort Campus and the youngest school to be certified to ISO standard. For Caviteneos who are living in this southern part of the province, will have a wider range of schools to choose from. With this new development, in the near future; going to Metro Manila to study will just be an option.

Staying in Mega Manila for the past 22 years has been very rewarding. It has enriched my life experience as someone who originally come from the province. But as I grew older my spirit and even my body long for serenity, green, and clean air. In big cities, you are being bombarded day after day by all kinds of pollution. Your everyday life is full of stress. Plus the heavy traffic, fear of being caught in a traffic violation while driving or even walking, snatchers, etc...are other hassles in life.

In the province, I have enjoyed a more simple lifestyle. When I am driving I feel more like a king, No traffic officer has apprehended me in the past 5 years despite the many lapses in my driving.

My health has improved significantly. I used to have phlegm most of the time and I could feel my health is really declining.

The photos I posted here are not very far from the very heart of Trece Martires, in fact its is just around 100 meters away from the city hall. There are lots of clean creeks, such as seen in the pictures, around the city. By seeing these I hope probinsyanos (From the province)who are staying in metro Manila or even abroad can remember their good old days.

Boracay de Cavite 2

Since I posted Boracay de Cavite, I received few inquiries how to reach the place. How I wish it is a private property and a transportation is available to serve the public. Though it is open for public there are lots of limitations. Firstly, it is located inside the camp. There are times the place is not available even to relatives of trainees due to security reasons. This happens only during the time of Balikatan. Secondly, foreigners need special permit to enter. And thirdly, the absence of the public transportation, this business is not feasible because of the few number of people going up the mountain.

Ka Roger

No!!!! not the famous Gregorio Rosal (New people's army chief operating in Sierra madre mountains) but a resto located at the heart of Trece Martires City. To be exact... its just across Aguinaldo, another restaurant located just right at the back of city hall.

What is in Ka Roger that makes it interesting?....Firstly, is the ambiance, the resort like setting,full of plants and windy. Every customer can occupy a hut and enjoy the privacy away from other customers who are equally enjoying their time in another hut. Secondly, the food...its oishi!!!! and thirdly...the price of the food. The price is unbelievably cheap. The food you see above which six of us consumed cost me only about P5oo bucks.

This place started over a year ago by the vice mayor of Trece. Goverment employees in Provincial Capitol and City hall use to eat their lunch in this place. it is open as early as 7 in the morning and closes late in the night.

As you can see we were really enjoyed during our first visit and we are looking forward for the next opportune time...Try it yourself.
